The goal of this fellowship is to encourage undergraduate students to develop an interest and aptitude for research. We believe that multidisciplinary approaches towards addressing research questions in archaeology and thus, this fellowship, is open to students from diverse disciplines. 

What are the guidelines to apply?: Undergraduate students must be currently registered in a university/college within India. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. You must have the desire to conduct research and to work with passion to achieve your goals. 

Date: You may select to come in May or June 2023. 
Location: Chennai and surrounding regions in Tamil Nadu
Project: You will be assigned a research topic in Human origin studies (Prehistory) comprising field and/or laboratory work. Your work will also include a component of public outreach. 

Number of interns for 2023: Two candidates will be funded. 

Stipend: Rs. 15,000/- plus train fare (3-tier AC)
